Terms of Service

These terms govern access to and use of ExamPortal by schools, administrators, teachers, students, and other authorized users.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By registering a school, accepting an invitation, signing in, or using ExamPortal, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you use ExamPortal on behalf of a school or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.

2. The service

ExamPortal provides tools for managing school examinations, questions, classes, users, attempts, grading, results, reports, timetables, and related workflows. Features may vary by plan, school configuration, and user role.

We may improve, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. We will try to provide appropriate notice where a material change substantially affects active customers.

3. School and user responsibilities

Schools are responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of information submitted to ExamPortal, assigning appropriate roles, managing user access, obtaining required student or guardian permissions, and determining when examination results are released.

Users must protect their login credentials, provide accurate information, follow school rules, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use ExamPortal to break the law, compromise examinations, impersonate others, access another user’s records without permission, upload malicious code, disrupt the service, bypass security controls, scrape the platform, or infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.

5. Google Calendar integration

Teachers may optionally authorize ExamPortal to synchronize timetable lessons with Google Calendar. Teachers control whether this connection is enabled and may revoke access at any time. Calendar availability and behavior also depend on Google’s services and policies.

Users remain responsible for reviewing synchronized events. ExamPortal is not responsible for missed lessons or obligations caused by incorrect timetable data, revoked access, third-party downtime, or device notification settings.

6. Independent examination practice

ExamPortal provides independent educational practice materials organized around examination categories such as JAMB, WAEC, and NECO. ExamPortal does not administer these official examinations, register candidates for them, issue official examination results, or represent an official examination body.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, ExamPortal is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, the West African Examinations Council, the National Examinations Council, or another examination authority. Their names, abbreviations, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the examination categories for which students may prepare.

Practice questions, scores, grades, and performance estimates are for learning and preparation only. They are not official questions, registrations, scores, grades, certificates, or predictions, and they do not guarantee performance in an official examination. Students must obtain official rules, dates, registration information, and results directly from the relevant examination body.

7. School content and intellectual property

Schools and users retain ownership of content they lawfully submit. They grant ExamPortal the limited rights required to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content for providing and securing the service.

ExamPortal’s software, visual design, branding, documentation, and platform content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and may not be copied or redistributed except as permitted in writing.

8. Availability and third-party services

We work to keep ExamPortal reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. The service may depend on hosting, email, payment, database, and Google services outside our direct control.

9. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access where necessary to address security threats, unlawful conduct, serious policy violations, non-payment, or risks to other users. Schools may stop using the service subject to their applicable subscription or service agreement.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ExamPortal is provided on an “as available” basis. Schools remain responsible for reviewing examination settings, questions, grading decisions, and published results.

To the extent permitted by law, ExamPortal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss arising from unauthorized use, inaccurate school-provided data, or third-party service failures.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Questions about these terms may be sent to hello@crevmick.com.
